Entity filters allow you to include or exclude database from the comparison certain objects based on some predefined criteria. Those filters are helpful when you are dealing with very large schemas and wish to compare only a small subset of the objects.

You can access the entity filters from the context menu of the comparison gridusing one of the following areas:

  • From the Select the Oracle Schemas to Compare window. This area allows you to exclude the objects you want before the comparison occurs.
  • From the ribbon or context menu after the comparison is complete. Setting entity filters at this stage causes the comparison to repeat. Once you set the filters, they are stored on the comparison session so the next time you run the same comparison, those filters are applied.
