The TOP SQL STATEMENTS shows the Displays a list of the most frequently executed SQL Statements, the Total in DB, the number of Executions, and the Database.statements, including queries, and updates that have been performed on a specific monitored instance and/or a specific database.
When you drill down into When you click on any of the Statements, SQL Workload Analysis redirects you to the statement page . On the left side of the screen you can find the list of SQL Statements and you can select any one of them to obtain detailed information.
In the main view of this page you find the following information:
- SUMMARY – This box displays the Av. Time of the statement, the number of Executions, the Total in DB, the Physical Reads, the Logical reads, and the Recompiles.
- FINDINGS AND NEXT STEPS
The Findings and Next steps box describes each finding or action, the severity of each and color coded. Click Examine to have more information on the finding or action. Also, click the View Execution Plan button to review the EXECUTION PLAN which is listed by Operator name, followed by the Object Name column, the Cost Column, CPU Cost column, IO Cost column, Returned Rows column, Table Cardinality column, Warnings column, and Parallel column.

- TOP ACCESSED OBJECTS
This box displays the accessed Objects. Each object shows more information in the followed columns Total in DB and Database.
- TOP LOGINS
In this box you find the list of Logins. Each Login listed row displays the User, the Total in DB, and the number of Executions.
- TOP MACHINES
where you can finds more detailed query information, these details helps you to identify the heaviest operators per query and the percentage of the execution time of these operators.
The Top SQL Statements page displays the performance summary; which includes the Procedure/Batch information, any Findings and Next Steps, the SQL Statement full text, the trends of the waits, the Top Accesses Objects, and the Top Machines.
