Before customizing the infrastructure of the PMDB, make sure you:

• installed the Precise FocalPoint
• defined the servers from which to load and retrieve data
• installed the PMDB FocalPoint
• verified using AdminPoint that Precise FocalPoint and PMDB FocalPoint are up and running
• configured the PMDB, as described in the chapters within this reference guide (with MS-SQL and Oracle)
• defined instances in the PMDB to load your data, as described in the Following Section.
