Right-click on a Category in the repository tree shows the category menu.

Tip

There are some differences in options between connection categories (left) and model categories (right).

Connection Category Menu

RefreshClick to refresh the category contents.
Move up

Click to move the category up one position in the tree.

Tip

This is disabled if the category is at the top of the tree or is the only category.

Move down

Click to move the category down one position in the tree.

Tip

This is disabled if the category is at the bottom of the tree or is the only category.

ImportSelect From external format to create a new connection from the definition in the selected XML.
RenameClick to enter a new name for the category.
Delete categoryClick to delete the category and all connections it contains.
Enter user documentationRefer to Adding Details for Documentation for details.
Remap OBDC DSNsClick to migrate from 32-bit ODBC DSNs to 64-bit ODBC DSNs.

Model Category Menu

Move up

Click to move the category up one position in the tree.

Tip

Move down

Click to move the category down one position in the tree.

Locks
Select from one of the following sub menus:
  • Release category lock - Click to release the lock on the selected category.
  • Change expire policy for this category - Refer to Changing the Expire Policy of a Lock for details.
  • Change expire policy for models - Refer to Changing the Expire Policy of a Lock for details.
  • Force release of lock - This option is only displayed shown when someone else owns the lock on this category. Forces this lock to be released.

The above action may have undesired effects as WhereScape 3D can no longer guarantee synchronized access to the repository.
