The Data Pane contains the Data Sources, their Dimensions, Measures, and Parameters, and is present among all Worksheets in a Workbook. The Data Pane appears along the left side of Visual Analytics in a single column. Each of its sections is within a resizeable pane. When you build Data Views you drag items from the Data Pane Dimensions and Measures into decks in the Sheet Workspace. The Data Pane can be hidden by clicking the [Minimize] button to the right of the text "Data" inside the Data Pane's header bar. Doing so reduces the Data Pane to a single [Data] button found at the bottom left of Visual Analytics in the Status Bar.
