What's New in DB Optimizer 18.9

Improves Recent Projects menu selection

DBArtisan 18.9 increases the number of projects appearing in the Recent Projects menu selection. This increase improves the user experience by providing more choices for a quick selection.

Adds the ability to keep NOT TRUSTED when modifying FK constraints

DBArtisan DB2 for LUW users now can use the NOT TRUSTED function when modifying foreign key (referential) constraints. Trusted/not trusted context affects how your application server interacts with the database server.

Improves performance for DB2 users

This release of DBArtisan and Rapid SQL can take advantage of performance improvements for DB2 users with updates to:

·        tablespaces to allow null values, allowing users to formulate queries easily to allow for calculations by not including empty rows

·        the tablespace partition by range, ensuring accurate data and avoiding bottlenecks

Includes enhanced Sybase optimization in DB Optimizer

DB Optimizer users will notice updated profiling to accurately show the sessions.

Release Notes

Upgrade Notes

Known Issues

The SQL Server sqlvariant data type is not currently supported by the Microsoft JDBC driver. If a query is used to retrieve data from a table that contains a column of the sqlvariant data type, an exception occurs. There are two workarounds to fix this issue:

·        Use CAST to type cast the sqlvariant columns to the data type you want.

Or

·        Use the jTDS driver to connect.

Bug Fixes
