A profiling definition, that can be customized, is used. The profiling definition contains the SQL queries and rules for profiling a specific database and database version.
The supplied default WhereScape defined profiling method provides a way to profile the content of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. It can also be used as a starting point for defining your own User defined profiling method.
The Manage profiling methods item in the Tools menu is used to customize the profile to your needs.
Select Manage profiling methods from the Tools menu:

To customize profiling methods, the best approach is to clone the default WhereScape defined profiling method to create a User defined profiling method, which can then be modified as required. To create new User Defined Profiling Methods, refer to User Defined Profiling for details.
