If you encounter this issue, run the following command on the HMC:

If the managed server name contains spaces, rename it to remove all spaces.

To rename a managed server

  1. Log in to the HMC.
  2. Select the corresponding server from the Servers list.
  3. Select Advanced System Management (ASM).
  4. Log in to ASM.
  5. Expand the System Configuration option.
  6. From the left menu, select System Name.
  7. Change the name, and then save your changes.
