Microsoft introduced a new server core-based licensing model with the release of SQL Server 2012. Instead of licensing based on physical processors, the new core-based model offers a more accurate measure and better metrics based on computing power for your physical or virtual servers.
IDERA SQL Inventory Manager supports the per-core licensing model for SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2014 with windows that display specific information such as the a core factor table and an override table, allowing you to override core information for multiple records by editing the processor details.
This section consists of:
- Core Factor Table
- Core Factor Override Table
- Include steps to Edit MS SQL Server License Information from p. 8 of reqs.
