To access the cloud instances discovery options click Cloud on the left pane of the Discovery Center Options view.

The Amazon tab on the Cloud Discovery Settings section allow you to set an Amazon accounts for discovering instances. To add an account click Add Amazon Account and follow these steps:

Before you begin

Make sure you perform these steps before adding an Amazon account on SIM.

1. Create an AWS account as trusted entity for read-only role on the main AWS account where SQL Inventory Manager discovery will be running.
2. Create a read-only role on the user’s main AWS account (where SQL Inventory Manager discovery will be running)
