Configuring Active Queries view

You can access To change the settings of Query activity data collection click Configuration on the the Active Queries screen under the SSAS Performance category. To open the configuration window click Configuration The Configuration settings allow you to configure Query Monitoring to collect data constantly or at collection time onlythe frecuency of data collection, collect data on from all queries or collect data on from poorly performing queries only,  set the location of log files, and set time periods for historical data retention.

Advanced Query monitoring

Use the Advanced Query monitoring option to determine the frequency of data collection. 

Enabled:   SQL BI collects query data constantly.

Disabled:  SQL BI only collects query data at the time of collection using the current query data collection method.

When you enable this option, active query data collection is constant. If you disable Advanced Query Monitoring, SQL BI only collects active queries data at the time of collection.
