IDERA SQL Elements Inventory Manager supports authentication between internal services, this feature is disabled by default. If you have installed IDERA SQL Elements Inventory Manager on the default path, you can enable/disable security, making the following changes on two locations:

1. Go to "Cto C:\Program Files\IderaIDERA\SQL\ElementsInventory Manager\WebApplication\idera-main\conf", open file web.properties, and then change “enableenable-authentication-for-rest=false” to false to true. 
2. Go to " C:\Program Files\IderaIDERA\SQL\Core", open file IderaCoreServices.exe and change “EnableSecurity” to true. open IderaCoreServices.exe and change EnableSecurity to true.
