For this client type, a copy of the LANSA software is installed on the client's PC. This LANSA software accesses the Application Repository on the existing Visual LANSA Independent Server. There is no LANSA Repository installed on the client. When using a client, developers must be connected to the Independent Server.

Before you can start, the Visual LANSA Server system must already be installed.

If a supported compiler is not already present on this workstation, a C/C++ compiler can be installed. Refer to 3.4.12 Compiler.

Compiled program objects will reside on the client. Repository objects must reside on the server.
