- On primary replicas you can perform full, differential, and log backups backups.
- On secondary replicas, full backups must be copy only, differential backups are not supported, and log backups must NOT be copy only only.
When SQL Safe performs the backup operation, it detects the preferred replica for the backup operation and it skips the non-preferred ones.
