SQL Safe improved 9.3 introduced enhanced secure communication protocols.

Remote servers running SQL Safe agents earlier than version 9.3 must be upgraded to maintain compatibility with SQL Safe later engine versions methods and removed support for earlier agent versions. After installing SQL Safe 9.4, you must upgrade all remote servers with the SQL Safe agent installed to version 9.4.

What will happen if the agents are not upgraded?

After upgrading the Management service, older agent versions cannot Agents older than version 9.3 will be unable to communicate with the SQL Safe Management Service . While backup and restore policies will still operate, the older agents will not send status updates to after this upgrade.

Existing policies will continue to run, although the status will not display in the Management Console.
