Installing the Collection Server:

  1. Log on in with an administrator account to the computer on a computer or any other VM in which you want to install the Collection Server.
  2. Run Setup.exe Run  SQLCMInstall.EXE in the root of the installation kit.
  3. Click Begin Setup on the Setup tab of the setup program.
  4. Read the Welcome windowReview the information you need to start the installation, and then click click Next. 
  5. Review and accept the license agreement by

    clicking

    selecting the I accept the terms

    in the license agreement, and then click Next.

    and conditions of the End User License Agreementcheckbox.
    Select the SQL Compliance Manager Management components only setup and then click Next.

  6. Specify if you want to register SQL Compliance Manager with an existing IDERA Dashboard. 

  7. Accept the default folder for your SQL Compliance Manager installation, type or click Change Browse to specify a different folder, and then click Next.
  8. Select the Custom setup type, and then click Next.
  9. Select the Collection Server component, and then click Next.
  10. Specify the location where the Collection Server should store audit data received from the SQLcompliance Agent, and then click Next. The specified folder will be the trace file directory on the Collection Server.
  11. Specify the Windows user account the Collection service and SQLcompliance Agent service should use to access the Repository, and then click Next.Click Browse to select the SQL Server instance Instance on which you restored the Repository databases .Specify the authentication the setup program should use to connect to the selected SQL Server, and then click Next.and a form of authentication to create the SQL Compliance Manager repository. 
  12. Indicate that you want to use the existing Repository databases, and then click click Next.
  13. If you want to audit the Repository or other databases associated with the selected SQL Server instance, click click Yes, and then click click Next.
  14. Specify the location where the SQLcompliance Agent Collection Server should store collected audit data received from the SQL Compliance Manager Agent, and then click Next. The specified folder will be the trace file directory on the audited SQL Collection Server instance.Select whether you want to start the services immediately after install
  15. Type the appropriate credentials in the provided fields under which IDERA services run, and then click Next.
  16. Click Install.
  17. Click Finish.

SQL Compliance Manager is ONLY compatible with IDERA Dashboard version 4.6 and with limited support.
