To edit an automation policy, choose a policy from the Policy Scheduled Activity list displayed in the Automation Policies tab and click the Edit option or double-click the policy you want to edit.

You can modify the following settings, according to your requirements:

  • Targets: Allows you to choose different or additional indexes to evaluate using the selected policy.
  • Thresholds: Allows you to adjust the threshold values for fragmentation and scan density, as well as setting the analysis frequency.
  • Filters: Allows you to modify the Page Count, Operation Order, and Qualifying Indexes filters.
  • Response: Enables you to define a different response when the specified conditions are met.
  • Schedule: Allows you to change when and how often the policy runs, as well as to modify or establish time restrictions if necessary.
  • Resource Check: Allows you to modify the resource parameters that need to be verified and met to execute the policy.
  • Alerts: Enables you to change the alerts generated by the policy when certain events occur.
  • Summary: Allows you to modify the name and description of the policy.
