To manage your SQL Safe Backup Agents, click SQL Safe Agents in the navigation pane. To view information about a specific agent, type the server name in the Search Bar located at the top left side of the SQL Safe Agents tab, or click the corresponding SQL Server SQL Server computer listed in the tree pane and you will be able to see the configuration information of the respective agent.

Column

Definition

Computer

Displays the name of the host computer.

Version

Displays the version number of the selected Backup Agent.

Management Server

Displays the location of the SQL Safe Management service that the Agent is configured to communicate with.

Max Load

Displays the maximum number of concurrent operations that the backup agent can perform.

Priority

Displays the Windows thread priority at which backup agent threads run.

Send Status

Displays the frequency that the agent is configured to communicate with the Management Server.

SQL Timeout

Displays the SQL DMO timeout value, which determines how long the Backup Agent will wait for a response from SQL Server before timing out.

VDI Trans. Limit

Displays the maximum size of a transfer block for the VDI operation.

VDI Buffers

Displays the number of buffers used for the VDI operation.

VDI Block Size

Displays the size of a VDI device block. All data transfers are integer multiples of this value.

VDI Timeout

Displays the timeout for configuring the VDI.

Click on Refresh to update the content pane.

What additional views are available?

When performing SQL Safe Agent upgrades, the Upgrade Status view is available. It displays:

ColumnDefinition
ProgressDisplays the upgrade progress: Queued, In Progress, Successful, Error, or Canceled.
ComputerDisplays the server name.
Previous VersionDisplays the previous version number.
Current VersionDisplays the current and/or the upgraded version number.
DurationDisplays the upgrade process duration.
Start TimeDisplays the time when the upgrade process started.
End TimeDisplays the time when the upgrade process is completed.
Result Text

Displays the event status related text. When doing a right click on it, you can: Cancel the Upgrade, View the Result Text, or Copy the Result Text.

You can also click on Filter to see the Upgrade Status Display Settings and Upgrade Status window where you can set the following options:

ColumnDefinition
Event StatusQueued, In Progress, Successful, Error, Canceled.
ColumnsProgress, Computer, Previous Version, Current Version, Duration, Start Time, End Time, Result Text.
Event TimeRange, From, To.
Limit resultsDefine the number of last operations.

Click on Refresh to update the content pane.
