Log shipping cannot be performed on a database configured to use the simple recovery model. Your database should use the Full or the Bulk-logged recovery model. SQL Safe prompts you to change the recovery model if the simple recovery model is currently used at in the database. |

What additional options are available?
You can also set to run Pre/Post-Backup Commands. Select Configure.. to specify commands you want to execute before and/or after the backup completes. Click on 
to add the cmd file. You can also select to Quit backup job if the pre-backup command fails. Yes is the default.
The command can be a script or a user executable, non-interactive program. It should be located on a UNC path.

When performing a backup, ensure the backup does not truncate the transaction logs of the database. Truncating the log will cause this log shipping policy to fail. |
