Oracle DBA Tools - Log Manager Provides manageability of Redo Logs and Archive Logs. Allows users to create and manage redo logs including monitoring archive logs.
Toolbar Operations - Available Operations for Redo Logs tab Refresh: Refreshes all tabs in the storage manager from the database Reconnect: Reconnects to the database server Copy All w/ Headers and Row Count: Copies all the tab results from the database to paste the information anywhere else Size: Shows total size of the database in the selected unit of measurement Create Redo Log Group: Creates new redo log group Edit Redo Log Group: Edits selected redo log group Drop Redo Log Group: Drops selected redo log group Redo Log Group Properties: Shows properties of selected redo log group Switch Log File: Explicitly forces Oracle Database to begin writing to a new redo log file group, regardless of whether the files in the current redo log file group are full. When you force a log switch, Oracle Database begins to perform a checkpoint but returns control to you immediately rather than when the checkpoint is complete. Archive Logs Tab - Provides archived log information from the control file. An archive log record is inserted after the online redo log is successfully archived or cleared. If the log is archived twice, there will be two archived log records with the same THREAD#, SEQUENCE#, and FIRST_CHANGE#, but with a different name. An archive log record is also inserted when an archive log is restored from a backup set or a copy and whenever a copy of a log is made with the RMAN COPY command.
