The Add Source Mappings wizard enables you to map a model onto another model by using exact name matching with case sensitive options.
To add source mappings...

  1. Click on a Model Version and select REPLACE WITH THIS IMAGE: Images/Common_Icons/add_source.png Add source mappings from the Workflow pane.
  2. From the Add source mappings dialog, select the source model to add the source mappings from and click Next to continue.

  1. From the Match sources dialog, select one of the following match sources criteria...
    • Match sources using entity and attributes names - This option matches sources based on the names of the entities and attributes in the selected source model.
    • Match sources in existing source mapping sets - This option matches sources based on the names of the entities and attributes in the selected source model and matched source set.

  1. Click Next > to continue.

    • From the Configure matching criteria dialog, select a criteria to match sources to targets, and click Next> to continue.
      • Add to existing source sets - This option finds source sets coming from entities or attributes in the selected model and then matches entities and attributes that do not have mappings in that source set.
      • Create new source sets - This option creates a new source set with the name specified in the New Source mapping set name field for each table with matching sources. Select the checkbox to Ignore entities and attributes that already have source mappings.
      • Match sources - Case sensitive - Select this option to match source entity and attribute names with case sensitivity.

    • On the Resolve source mappings dialog, check the targets with multiple source mappings, make any necessary changes and click Next > to continue.

      • New source mapping set name - Enter the name of the source set to be created on each table.
      • Use first source set - This option copies the structure of the first source set defined on each entity.
      • User source set that matches - This option copies the structure of the first source set defined on each entity that matches the defined pattern.
      • Match sources - Case sensitive - Select this option to match source entity and attribute names with case sensitivity.

  1. On the Finalize adding source mappings dialog, finalize the list of source mappings to be added and select Add.
