The migration process enables you to migrate from a derby database to metadata server.
Note
- If a centralized Derby Server is being used, it is recommended that a clean up and removal of Derby server is carried out once the required repository upgrades and migrations have occurred.
- To reduce duplicate migrations, one user should upgrade the repository and other users linking to the same repository should relink to the new destination.
To migrate a repository:
- Click the File menu and select Manage repository visibility.
- From the Manage repository visibility dialog, as shown in the following screenshot, select for a repository you want to migrate.
- Click OK. The Upgrade manager dialog displays the Current version of 3D the repository is on and the Latest version of 3D, as shown in the following screenshot...
- Click Upgrade. The Migrate legacy repository dialog is displayed.
- Select the Migrate to metadata server radio button and click Next>. The Migrate legacy repository settings dialog is displayed.
- Enter the necessary information and click Finish. The Upgrade manager dialog is displayed.
- An In progress status is displayed during the migration.
- A Succeeded status is displayed upon successful completion of the upgrade.
- An error message is displayed in the Details section in the event a failure.
- An In progress status is displayed during the migration.
- Click OK .
