The following steps explain how to add currently Ignored ESX hosts or VM guests back into Uptime Infrastructure Monitor for regular monitoring. This process is commonly desired when systems have been Ignored, typically in order to not exceed the number of available licenses. When a larger license is applied, use these steps to Remove select systems from the Ignored list.
Browse to the vCenter server in Uptime Infrastructure Monitor by either entering the vCenter name in the search field at the top of the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor UI or by clicking the Action gear icon beside the vCenter server in My Infrastructure and selecting View.
On the vCenter Info page, click Inventory Detail, which lists all of the ESX hosts and VM guests managed by the vCenter server. The Ignored Elements section appears after the list of actively monitored elements.
Click the check box beside each of the elements that are to be monitored and then click the Remove Selected Elements from Ignore List" button. Previously ignored elements will now appear in the list of monitored elements and the Uptime Infrastructure Monitor license count will reflect the change.
 Note
Elements can also be Ignored, to free up licenses for other systems to be monitored, by checking them in the vCenter Inventory Detail page and clicking Add Selected Elements to Ignore.
