Command line allows you to exclude specific columns from data compare.

Rules for excluding columns are as follows:

  • Excluded columns should be listed under the xml element <ColumnPair> of the <Columns> element
  • The attribute Action of the <Columns> element should be set to Exclude

The following xml fragment excludes the columns FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME from the table HR.EMPLOYEES and the column ADDRESS from the table HR.CUSTOMERS:

          <RightObject Name="HR_COPY.EMPLOYEES"></RightObject>
          <Columns Action="Exclude">

                    <RightColumn>FIRST_NAME</RightColumn>
               </ColumnPair>
               <ColumnPair>
                    <LeftColumn>LAST_NAME</LeftColumn>

               </ColumnPair>
          </Columns>
     </Pair>
     <Pair>
