To save your work in Visual Analytics you can click the [Save] icon in the Toolbar or the [File > Save] menu.

You can also use the default keybinding for save, [Ctrl + S] ([Cmd + S] in OS X). If you choose [Save As] you have the option of saving as two different file types.

• Visual Analytics Workbook file (.vizw) -  Visual Analytics Workbook files are for you or other Aqua Data Studio users who can access datasources on their own. This is the default file type saved for Visual Analytics.
• Visual Analytics Packaged Workbook file (.vizx) -  Visual Analytics Packaged Workbook files contain datasources saved within the file itself, making it easy to share a Workbook with Aqua Data Studio users who don't have access to your datasources. If the person you're sharing with cannot access your datasources, you'll want to extract the data for every data source in your Workbook so that they are included in your Packaged Workbook. If the person you're sharing with already has access to your datasources then data extracts are not required within the .vizx file.
