2.2.1 Checklist for Visual LANSA Independent/Slave

The items on this check list are in addition to those listed in the 2.2 Visual LANSA General Checklist.

• Do you know the computer node name of your workstation? If not, LANSA will assign one for you. For further information about node names, refer to Define Personal Computers to LANSA in the LANSA for i User Guide.
• If a connection has not already been defined do you have the IBM i system network details? You will require the system name (host name) or IP address and the Listener's Port number for the IBM i server. For details, refer to the LANSA Communications Setup Guide about configuring your workstation connection to a IBM i Server.
