Indexes are used to create alternate ways of organizing or accessing the data in your LANSA tables. You can create table sorting sequences that differ from the keys used in the physical table.

Objectives

To show how indexes views are created over existing tables to access the table data in an alternative sequence.
To add an Index over the iiiDepartments Department table to sequence the table by iiiDeptDescription.
To add an Index to the iiiEmployees table to sequence the table by iiiDeptCode.
