• You can see that a field has a condition attached when there is an asterisk to the left of the field's name in the Selected Fields area of the Query window.

What I Should Know
The Operation Area
Use the options in this area to specify your selection requirements.
The Prompting Area
When this option is used, whenever the query is run, the query pauses and LANSA Client displays a Condition Prompt dialog box asking for a Value to be entered. A single query can include search conditions which require a prompted value as well as conditions which don't require a prompt.
The Conditions Area
This area lists the conditions you have created for your query. To see how the conditions you have specified will work, try to step through them using "dummy" data on paper, rather than using a "try running and see" approach.
