4.4.1 Visual LANSA Actions

The actions can be performed for certain tasks as part of version control:

Action	Type	Description
Create a New object	Configurable	If the Automatically save new objects to version control option is enabled, a YAML file is created for the new object. If not enabled, no YAML file is created and the object's version control status is shown as Repository Only.
Save an object	Automated	If the object is under version control, then the YAML file is updated.
Delete an object	Automated	If the object is under version control, then the YAML file is deleted.
Import	Automated	New objects will not have a YAML file generated. If an existing object is under version control, then the YAML file is updated. To easily add imported objects to version control, it is recommended to import from within Visual LANSA and to select Save As Repository List, see LANSA Import Facility. Order the list if required, select all or some of the objects, right-click and select Add to Version Control.
