The Welcome tab contains buttons to help you get started on common tasks.

This is a view of all available functionality—the installation defaults are a subset of these.

The following buttons start wizards that ask you to select the repository you want to work in and create any required categories in that repository before continuing:

Discover a source system steps you through the process of connecting to an existing database, creating a model version to discover it into, discovering and profiling it.
Load a design creates a new EDW model and then lets you choose a file to import a design into the model from.
Create a repository. Refer to Adding a Repository for details.
User Guide displays the user guide window.
