• The web technology is an extension of the Visual LANSA development environment. If you have Repository and RDML skills, you can apply them to building web applications with Visual LANSA.
• Before any development efforts begin, you must have an installed and configured LANSA installation including a Web Server and LANSA Application/Data Server. Refer to the Supported Platforms and Versions for the currently supported versions of this software.
• For details about the installation and configuration of developing web applications with Visual LANSA, refer to the Install or Upgrade LANSA on Windows Version 15 or Install or Upgrade LANSA on IBM i as appropriate for your site.
• Ensure you have appropriate LANSA licenses applied. Refer to Product Licensing for details.
• If you are developing web applications using Visual LANSA for the first time, we recommend that you view the Web and Mobile Development Basic tutorials first.
