To enable sampling of Alerts custom metrics for this instance
The WebSphere MQ Tier - Network Monitoring dialog box displays two lists of Listener ports. The left list shows all ports available for the WebSphere MQ instance. The right list shows ports to be monitored by the Insight for Network savvies.
If you want the Insight Savvy for Network to monitor WebSphere MQ network time, you need to specify the TCP/IP ports to be used by this WebSphere MQ instance. To obtain the Listener ports for a server:
SOFTWARE\IBM\MQSeries\CurrentVersion\Configuration\Services\<Queue Manager name>\Listener\Port
PS - ef | grep rUnmqlsr
–p
, which is followed by the port number. If –p
does not occur, the default port 1414 is used.Check the Services file on the server that provides the service.
If the service is not defined in the Services file, run the netstat command to see a list of all open connections on the server.
If the service provider is a UNIX server, use the lsof utility located in the <precise_root>/products/insight/hostname/bin
folder on the Insight installation server.
To use the utility to obtain a list of all TCP/IP ports used by a service, run the following command:
lsof-P|grep LISTEN|grep<listener_process_name>
To access a list of lsof
utility options, run the command:
lsof –h
The lsof utility is only available if the Insight Savvy for Network is installed. If you want to run this utility before completing the Savvy installation, log in as root user and locate the file |
