This screen enables you to define settings that affect the appearance and behavior of WhereScape3D.

Description

Application

  • Restore tree expansion state at startup: when selected, the repository tree will be expanded to its last known state when WhereScape3D starts.
  • Don't restore expansion below ... level: Only enabled when Restore tree expansion state at startup is selected. Sets the deepest level to restore the tree state at startup. Select one of the following available values:
    • Category
    • Model version
    • Group
    • Schema
    • Entity
    • Attribute

Diagram

  • Auto display diagram: when selected, automatically displays diagrams after discovery.
  • Auto save location frequency (seconds): sets the period, in seconds, between auto saves of the table positions in your open diagrams. A lower value will result in less work lost in the event of a power failure or operating system crash but may significantly increase disk or network usage.

Event viewer

  • Max event history: Sets the maximum number of events the event viewer will keep. Note event information is kept in main memory and the approximate memory usage is shown next to the spinner.
  • Date format: Sets how to format dates in the event viewer. Some common format presets are available in the drop-down menu, and it can be customized using Java date format syntax.
  • Time format: Sets whether times in the event viewer should be displayed in 12 hour or 24-hour format.
  • Show milliseconds: Sets whether the millisecond portions of times should be displayed in the event viewer.

Repository tree

Refresh frequency (seconds): Allows you to set the frequency that WhereScape3D uses to check for metadata changes.
