Following are some frequently asked questions about installing and configuring LANSA Integrator:
When should I install Studio?
You should always install Studio. Studio is the desktop interface to the JSM server instance. It allows bidirectional file transfer between the user desktop and the JSM server. Studio allows projects to be created and properties to be retrieved and published to the JSM server. The XML Wizard, SOAP Wizard, and editors are executed from Studio.
No license code is required to use the Studio on the end user's PC.
When should I install the User Agent?
If you need a flexible end-user utility to upload files to a JSM HTTP Service or if you need to send MQ-Series messages, you will want to install the User Agent.
The User Agent is designed as a very simple end-user upload utility.
If you have no other LANSA software on your machine, you may prefer to install User Agent using the Other Feature install. Refer to Task: Install Other Features.
No license code is required to use the User Agent on the end user's PC.
