This procedure guides you through SQL Diagnostic Manager Trial installation.
The Trial does not include the IDERA Dashboard. If you wish to try it contact IDERA Sales.
Start your Trial SQL Diagnostic Manager installation
You can install SQL Diagnostic Manager on any computer that meets or exceeds the product requirements.
To start installing SQL Diagnostic Manager:
- Run
Setup.exe
in the root of the Trial installation kit. - Click Install SQL Diagnostic Manager on the Quick Start window.
- On the Welcome window of the setup program, click Next.
- Review the license agreement. To accept this license agreement, click I accept the terms and conditions of this License Agreement, and click Next.
- Choose the components you want to install by selecting the respective check boxes. By default, the setup program installs SQLDM Console, and SQLDM Repository and Services, allowing you to immediately begin monitoring your SQL Server environment, and click Next.
- On the Service Account window, type the appropriate credentials in the provided fields. Click Next.
On the SQL Diagnostic Manager Repository Database screen, specify SQL Server instance and the name of the SQLDM Repository database you want to use.
When your SQL Server environment uses SQL Server Authentication, select the respective check box, and click Change to enter SQL Server credentials. And, if you use Microsoft SQL Server Authentication, a new window displays where you can type the respective SQL Server login and password.- You can use the default install location or specify a different path. For your first install, we recommend using the default location. Click Next to continue with the installation.
- Click Install to indicate that you are ready to complete your installation with the configurations you specified. Click Back, if you want to review or change your installation settings.
- Click Finish to exit the IDERA SQL Diagnostic Manager Setup.
