To validate the data profiling results by relationship, right-click on the source version, schema or group in the repository tree, select Data profiling result>Validation criteria.

Select Relationship from the Metrics drop-down list and then select the required metric. Change the list by selecting the relevant PK Schema, PK Entity, PK Attribute, FK Schema, FK Entity, FK Attribute, Profiling result, Profiling validation and Validates values from the drop-down lists.

In the example above, the Profiling validation column is blank. To edit or delete profiling validation for the selected row, use the relevant icons REPLACE WITH THIS IMAGE: Images/Profiling/dataprofiling_validationicon.png at the top right of the dialog. For more information on writing profiling validation refer to Metric Validation Code Syntax.

Note

The join shapes for the relationship shown in the diagram can be referenced in the profiling validation using the values PK_JOIN_SHAPE or FK_JOIN_SHAPE. The following values represent the various join types that can be chosen from:

To validate the data profiling by relationship from the diagram, right-click on a blank space in the diagram, choose Data profiling result, then Validation criteria.

In the dialog that follows, select Relationship from the Metrics drop-down list.
