Plug-in monitors provide an easy way to:
- Expand UIM's standard capabilities: add new service monitors to report on servers, services or other devices.
- Implement special customized solutions. Plug-in monitors can provide capabilities beyond those offered by script-based custom monitors and can be fully integrated into the UIM UI with defined options that will be used when creating an instance.
- Share resources with the UIM community. All plug-in monitors released by UIM or developed by UIM clients are available on the Grid.
