Dragging Tables to Add Source Mappings

If Source Mappings is turned ON, then adding a table to a diagram using thedrag and drop method automatically creates the source mappings for that table.
If however, the table was created in the diagram with Source Mappings turned OFF, then you can add the source mappings in the following way:

1. Click theSource mapping creation button in the diagram toolbar.

1. Click the relevant table in the source system tree and drag it onto a table in the diagram.

The Choose source mapping set dialog is displayed as shown in the following screenshot:

1. Select the Choose source mapping set radio button and select a source mapping set from the drop-down list or select the Create source mapping set to create a new source mapping set.
2. Click the OK button. The Source mappings properties window for the table is displayed with the columns from the source entities that exists in the target entity automatically mapped. Refer to Adding a Source Mapping via Source Mapping tab for details.

1. Click OK.

   Tip
   Another way to add the source mappings for a table is to double click on the header part of the table to bring up theProperties screen, select theSource mappings tab and manually enter the source mappings using the REPLACE WITH THIS IMAGE: Images/Common_Icons/addqueryicon.png button. Refer to Source Mappings for details.
