This graphic represents what we refer to as multi-tier set up. Your Data/Application Server could be on Windows, IBM I or a Linux machine.
These instructions:
- assume that your web server and data/application server follow the recommended layout and are on two different machines.
- are for Windows machines only.
First you install Visual LANSA on the Data/Application Server, then you set up the Web Server. These are two separate processes using the Visual LANSA install process even if they are on the same Windows machine.
