The Suspect Windows Accounts report checks for unresolved Windows Accounts with Server Logins.

Note

This report does not apply to Azure SQL Database and Amazon RDS for SQL Server instances.

Recommendation

Start by reviewing the list and consider removing any SQL Logins or Server Files Security Permissions that are no longer in Active Directory. Think that the Windows Accounts displayed in this report may be orphaned logins.

If the accounts exist in Active Directory and you wish to remove them from future reports, configure data collection with the proper credentials to verify them in Active Directory.

In this report, you can find the following in-depth information:

  • The SQL Server instance you are analyzing.
  • The analyzed Login.
  • The login Type.
  • The Probable Status of the login.

  2. Select a target instance.
  3. Click the View Report button to generate your report.
