Specifying the exclude list for Precise for vCenter Server

The following procedure is used to define a list of servers about which the Precise for vCenter Server Collector will not gather data from vCenter Server.

To add servers to the exclude list

  1. After specifying the properties for the vCenter Server instance, click Advanced.
  2. Click the Exclude tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Type the name of the server in the list. It is possible to use regular expressions to specify more than one server. For example: "(myServer)" - excludes all servers that have myServer in their name.
  5. Click Add to add more names.
  6. Click OK to finalize the list.

To remove servers from the exclude list

  1. After specifying the properties for the vCenter Server instance, click Advanced.
  2. Click the Exclude tab.
  3. Select the name(s) of the server(s) to remove (multiple selection can be performed with Shift+Click and Ctrl+Click).
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click OK.
