IDERA Dashboard and SQL BI Manager services requirements

In the table below, you can find the minimum software requirements to correctly install the IDERA Dashboard and the SQL BI Manager's collection services.

Make sure to install this software before the installation of the IDERA Dashboard and the SQL BI Manager.

Microsoft Librarymsolap.dll

When the product installation starts, it will look for the msolap.dll file. If the file is not found, the installation will request the user to install it. To avoid this, install the msolap.dll file where the data collection service runs.

Download and install this file from the latest version of the SQL Server Feature Pack from Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Feature Pack (choose the SQL_AS_OLEDB.msi installer).

Microsoft LibraryMicrosoft SQL Server Shared Management Objects(SMO)

Verify that Microsoft SQL Server Shared Management Objects(SMO) is installed, otherwise download and install the SMO from the SQL Server 2016 Feature Pack (ENU\x64\SharedManagementObjects.msi and ENU\x64\SQLSysClrTypes.msi).

The components in the SQL Server 2016 Feature Pack are backward compatible with all previous SQL Server versions. Remember to run the SQLSysClrTypes.msi installer first.

Port requirements

The IDERA Dashboard uses the following ports:

  • Web Application Service: 9290 (Standard HTTP port) and 9291 (SSL port)
  • Core Service: 9292 (REST API port) and 9293 (.NET remoting port)

IDERA SQL BI Manager uses the following ports:

  • Collection service port: 9277
