The Audited SQL Servers report displays all the SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Amazon RDS for SQL Server instances that SQL Secure audits.

Recommendation

To display the most accurate information, ensure the following

  1. Update SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Amazon RDS for SQL Server versions to their latest versions. To find the latest version, search support.microsoft.com for KB290211 (2000) or 913089 (2005).
  2. All logins are audited (including failed). If you fail to monitor failed login attempts it can lead to undetected security breaches.
  3. User, Group, and SQL Login counts match expectations.

In this report, you can find an extended analysis of the Audited SQL Servers with the following information:

  • The SQL Server instance you are analyzing.
  • The SQL Server Version.
  • The SQL Server Edition.
  • The Login Audit Mode status (failed or succeeded).
  • The Authentication Mode.
  • The OS.
  • A summary of the users and groups in each server.
