- Installed the LANSA Open software using the current LANSA Windows Software.
- Reviewed the communication requirements listed in the LANSA Open Checklist.
Step 1. Check the LANSA Open Configuration Parameters
The Configuration File parameters are set to default values during the installation process. When the LANSA Open installation has been completed, review the default values and change them to suit your installation's requirements.
Start the LANSA Open Configuration from the LANSA Open program group.

Step 2. Prepare Server
LANSA Windows Server
The following preparation work should be performed:
- user profile configuration
- entering the appropriate LANSA license code
- TCP/IP listener configuration (if required)
LANSA for i Server
If you are not already using LANSA Open, you will need to prepare the IBM i server for access by your client server applications. The set up and configuration details are described in Task: LANSA Open Setup on IBM i in the LANSA for i Administrator's Guide.
