Tip

Unique display names help you distinguish different instances of the same product if you have multiple installs. Use display names that refer to location or functionality, such as "SQL Safe WestSQLSafeWest" or "SQL Safe ProdSQLSafeProd."

  • Determine the names and locations (SQL Server instances) of the Repository Databases for the IDERA Dashboard and SQL Safe. By default, the setup program uses the credentials of your Windows logon account to create these Databases. If you want to use Microsoft SQL Server Authentication, select this option and specify the login name and password for this account. Click Next. 
  • Specify the Service Accounts under which the IDERA Dashboard, the SQL Safe Backup Agent, and the SQL Safe Management services will run. The "Log on as a service" right will be granted to these accounts. Click Next.
