Symbol map is a very powerful feature which that quickly shows geographical data by plotting shapes or pies at specific geo-locations.

Connect to the sample data source in Aqua Data Studio.
From the Dimensions pane, select State and Product Category.
From the Measures pane, select Profit.

. Visualization builds a Symbol Map Chart.
Visualization moves State to the Geo Deck, Profit to the Size and Rows Deck, and Product Category to the Rows Deck. By default, it plots shapes of different sizes at different geographical locations based on Profit. Now, move Product Category from the Rows Deck to the Color Deck. You You should see the profits of different product categories for each state.
Build a Symbol Map Chart using Latitude and Longitude

- From the Dimensions pane, select Latitude and Longitude.
- From the Measures pane, select Profit.

.
Visualization builds a Symbol Map Chart and moves Longitude and Latitude to the Geo Deck and Profit to the Size and Rows Deck. It plots shape chart of different sizes, based on profits, at geographical locations based on the Latitude and Longitude values.
