Bins are a special Dimension type that gets formed by choosing a Measure and dividing up its values into groups.  These groups can be formed based on the number of values within them (Size of Bins), or how many bins the values are divided into (Number of Bins). Bins can be dragged from the Dimensions pane into the Columns and Rows decks like any other Dimension, but are particularly useful for creating Histograms.

How to Create Bins

1. Right click the Measure you wish to create Bins from and select [Create Bins...]

You can rename a Bin by right-clicking it and selecting [Rename...] from the right click context menu as you would any other Dimension.
