Layout Items
For a control to be governed by a layout, a layout item must be created. Each control has its own layout item, created automatically by the IDE as the designer is being used. Code for the items is automatically created by the designer. No other intervention is required.
The item stores the layout attributes for the control that determines how the control will be affected by the layout.
