A Visual LANSA Independent System can maintain its own users and tasks IDs.
When you first logon to a new Visual LANSA installation, you must use the PCXUSER/PCXUSER profile/password as this is the system owner and default user for the system. Once you logon as PCXUSER, you can create users, partitions, etc.
Typical Administration tasks include:
- Creating a Visual LANSA user, using the User option from the New toolbar button or the New submenu item from the File menu.
- Setting user access and User Privileges to Visual LANSA development for each user. Refer to User and Security Maintenance for more information.
- Creating or updating Task IDs. For details, refer to Using Task Tracking in LANSA and Task Maintenance.
- Updating object access and user authorities. Refer to User and Security Maintenance for information.
You must have appropriate partition or system level authority to perform these tasks.
