If you want to check for unresolved Windows Accounts that have Server Logins, generate the Suspect Windows Accounts report.

This report is not applicable to Azure SQL Database and Amazon RDS for SQL Server instances.

Recommendation

Start by reviewing the list and consider removing any SQL Logins or Server Files Security Permissions that are no longer in Active Directory, take into account that the Windows Accounts displayed in this report may be orphaned logins. If the accounts displayed exist in Active Directory and you wish to remove them from future reports, configure data collection with the proper credentials to verify the accounts in Active Directory.

In this report, you can find the following in-depth information:

  • The SQL Server instance you are analyzing. 
  • The analyzed Login.
  • The Type of login.
  • The Probable Status of the login.

Getting Started

Follow these steps to create a report:

  1. Select Date, Policy, and Baseline options from the Report Settings box.
  2. Select a target instance.
  3. Click the View Report button to generate your report.
